Armthorpe Welfare twice came from behind to beat Liversedge 4-3 and book their place in today’s FA Vase second round draw.
In Saturday’s topsy-turvy tie, Darren Mansaram and then Gary Mundy twice cancelled out goals for Liversedge before the break.
David Buck then put Welfare ahead for the first time midway through the second half following a forceful run and finish.
Following a 78th minute scuffle it became nine versus ten with Armthorpe’s Craig Morley sent off along with the Liversedge’s Matt Bugg, while the home side’s Sam Dipp also saw red for a second yellow card for dissent.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, the hosts drew level with seven minutes remaining.
However, Armthorpe won it in stoppage time with an excellent finish from Jay Rollins (pictured).
*Armthorpe will travel to NCEL Premier Division leaders Thackley in the second round on Saturday, November 16.
