Armthorpe Welfare and Rossington Main remain on the road to Wembley after securing victories in Saturday’s first qualifying round.

Armthorpe ended a run of six successive defeats with a 3-1 victory over AFC Liverpool, courtesy of goals from Kieran Benson, Henry Sibenge and Danny Taylor.

They will now face Glasshoughton Welfare - the conquerors of Askern Welfare - in the next round later this month.

Rossington overturned a two goal deficit at Penistone Church to run out 3-2 winners.

Ben Hunter and Patrick Mullen (2) fired Rossington through to set up a second qualifying round tie at home to West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC.

Maltby Main’s 3-0 Vase exit at the hands of Squires Gate at Muglet Lane was their eighth defeat on the spin in all competitions.

Askern were thrashed 7-2 in their home tie against Glasshoughton Welfare.
