Six-goal Tom rubs salt into Town’s wounds

TOM Salt was in superb form for Bramley Sunnyside in their 7-0 Doncaster Senior Football League Premier Division win over Hemsworth Town.

Salt took his tally to 23 from seven matches with a six-goal haul as Bramley stretched their 100 per cent start to eight games. Jamie Woodburn was also on target.

Shafton Villa and Denaby United were each awarded three points after respective opponents Bentley and Scawthorpe Rhinos and Carcroft Village were unable to turn out a team.

Patrick Needham bagged a brace of goals for South Elmsall United Services in their 4-0 victory at Bawtry Town - Lee Ford and Paul Smith were also on target.

Denaby Main (Chris Hancock) retained their unbeaten record and top spot in Division One after a 1-0 success at Newton Arms.

Hemsworth MW, who managed a 1-0 win at home to ISG Doncaster, thanks to Nigel Beardow , continue to head the chasing pack.

Craig Hobson struck twice for South Kirkby Town in their 7-0 triumph at Westwoodside Rangers to take his tally to 19 from ten appearances.

But he was outgunned on the day by Adam Bailey, who scored four. Shaun Hobson rounded off their tally.

Bawtry Town Reserves beat Scawthorpe Scorpions 2-1. Jonathan Dick getting both their goals with Ryan Bywater grabbing the consolation.

Stuart Gordon’s double helped Ackworth United account for Swinton Athletic 3-0. Jamie Bouskill got the other.
