THIRD-placed Barnby Dun recorded the biggest win of the day in the Doncaster Sunday Alliance, beating Bentley Top Club 12-3.

Armthorpe Coronation, for whom Matthew Brown and Lee Drobac netted, had to work much harder for their 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Adam & Eve.

Social Bar beat FC Dunscroft 5-3. Carl Grant (2) and Aaron Ellis shared out the Dunscroft consolation goals.

Thirteen didn’t prove an unlucky number for Championship leaders Canal Tavern as they maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with a 5-1 win over lowly Toll Bar.

Sean McCarthy, Neil Sheppard, Kirk Frost, Adam Freeborn and Mark Chapple all hit the target with Phil Potts replying for Toll Bar.

Third-placed Sprotbrough beat Eden Grove, the team immediately below them, 3-1 thanks to goals by Daniel Taylor, Martin Severn and Mark Richardson. Gareth Jones was the Grove marksman.

Finningley Athletic picked up their fifth win of the season when beating Styrupp 3-0. Liam Coxon hit two and Peter Lindley the other.

Conisbrough Conyers romped to a 6-1 win at bottom club Auckley.

Division One leaders Hawthorn got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win at second-placed Sportsman Inter-Stella with goals by Michael Farrow and Mark Carter.

Hatfield Celtic held on to third spot with a 2-0 win at bottom club Carcroft Village.

Fourth-placed Stag Inn pipped Park Social (Peter Garside, Vinny Ogbe) by the odd goal in five.

Tumbler, who have games in hand over most of the teams above them, posted a 7-0 win at Adwick Park Rovers.

Division Two leaders Windmill could only beat bottom club AFC Cusworth 1-0.

Second-placed Carpenters Arms, who have two games in hand, beat Brodsworth United 3-2 through Matthew Kilvington, Sam Braun and Michael Wibberley.

Edlington Top Club beat top-four rivals Armthorpe Albion 2-1.

A David Flowitt hat-trick proved in vain for Glad Old Boys as they lost 4-3 to Rosehill Press. Ross Adamson, Matthew Bedford, James Stacey and Robert Lee did the damage.

Skellow Rangers won 4-3 at home to Wadworth Sports through Sam Corner 2, Tom Ellis and Matthew Seaman. Josh Rowley and Danny Borom replied.

Divisions 3-5 round-up in tomorrow’s Doncaster Star.
