Isaacs sparkles as leaders turn on the style

DIVISION One leaders Hawthorn posted their 13th win in 17 Doncaster Sunday Alliance League outings when beating lowly Askern Railway 5-0.

Lee Isaacs helped himself to three of the goals with Rob Farrow and Mark Carter also chipping in.

Second-placed Stag Inn kept their title hopes alive with a 5-1 win at Adwick Park Rovers. Brett Nilsen notched a hat-trick with Michael Pashley and Richard Howcroft also on target. Shane Carver scored Rovers consolation.

Hatfield Celtic and Park Social battled out a 2-2 draw.

Carpenters Arms took over top spot in Division Two after beating Skellow Rangers 3-0.

Third-placed Edlington Top Club had to settle for a hard-earned 2-1 win over bottom club AFC Cusworth.

A Josh Rowley hat-trick helped Wadworth Sports see off second-bottom Glad Old Boys 4-2. Alastair Dawson also weighed in with a goal for the winners with Chris Leevers and Shane Johnson sharing out the Boys’ goals.

Brodsworth United received a walkover against HPK.

Second-placed Leger Lions closed to within a point of Division Three leaders Balby Academy of Sport after routing Hatfield Chace 7-1.

Third-placed Ingram Arms beat top four rivals Maltings by the odd goal in seven. Karl Dewsnap (2), Damien Potter and Brendan Jeffrey registered.

Allan Riggall, John Geddes, Reece Pegden and Nigel Wilson all netted in Horse & Groom Town’s 4-1 win over Waggies.

A four-goal haul by Jimmy Falkiner spelt a 6-2 defeat for Armthorpe Village at home to Tank. Scott Walker and Paul Burton, Gavin Grayson and Chris Passmore also scored.

Catholic Club continue to lead the way at the top of Division Four after a resounding 6-1 win at Balby Rovers while Bessacarr trounced Hatfield Woodhouse 6-0. James Stuart and Dom McGough shared four of the goals with Jonathan Jones and Harrison Read also getting in on the act.

Harvester beat Campsall 4-0 with Hesley collecting a 4-2 win at Bay Horse.
