Hayes treble puts HPK top

Hawthorn beat visiting Hatfield Celtic 3-1 in their Division One clash.

Wadworth Sports claimed their first Division Two win of the season with a 4-1 victory at fellow strugglers AFC Cusworth.

Josh Rowley, Danny Borom, Steve Greenwood and James Cheswick shared out the Wadworth goals with Frankie Smith replying for the home side.

Glad Old Boys (David Flowitt) weren’t too happy to go down 5-1 at Armthorpe Albion, for whom Craig Wren and Greg Delves both bagged a brace and Matthew Wilson also netted.

HPK took over top spot in Division Two after they charged to a 5-0 win over Skellow Rangers. Carl Hayes led the way with a hat-trick with Liam Wright and Lee Parker both chipping in goals.

Division Three leaders Balby Academy of Sport beat second-placed Leger Lions 4-1. Ryan Lewis, Simon Manterfield, Kevin Ferguson and Jordan Lewis did the damage.

Grove Carvery could only serve up one goal in a 6-1 defeat at South Kirkby Colliery, for whom Steve Dawson notched a hat-trick.

Bessacarr won 3-1 at lowly Bay Horse in the only Division Four game to be played.

Walton Wanderers took over top spot in Division Five after posting a comfortable 4-0 win over Balby Recreation.
