IT WAS a memorable day for Chris Hancock in Division Five of the Doncaster District Sunday Alliance League.

He struck TEN goals in Crown Hotel’s 16-1 win at M25 Hancock. Gareth Davies (2), Jason Hadwin (2), Peter Brown and Andrew Darville rounded off the scoring. Michael Hemsworth bagged a consolation for the hosts.

Willaspoons, second in the standings, defeated Walton Wanderers 6-2 on their own patch, Michael Ryan (2), Mark Pearson (2), Simon Simmonite and Billy Kirkham all hitting the back of the net.

Lee Carter’s treble enabled Balby Rec to leapfrog Ivanhoe in the table. Kevin Ferguson and Craig Jones also scored.

Inter Debs cruised to a 4-0 triumph at The Askern.

Jamie Faulding starred as Waggies defeated Tank 4-3 in Division Three. Faulding’s superb hat-trick helped Waggies over the line. Wesley Blunt was also on target. Jimmy Falkiner’s double and a strike from Adrian Howe proved to be not enough for Tank.

Balby Academy of Sport secured a hard-fought win at White Hart Colts to extend their lead at the top of the table. Jordan Lewis and Jamie Veitch registered, with Andrew Lord bagging Colts’s goal.

Carl Wilson’s treble condemned Leger Lions, in second position, to a 3-1 home defeat.

In the other fixtures, Grove Carvery beat Ingram Arms 5-1 and Armthorpe Village triumphed 2-1 over Horse & Groom Town. Wayne Adams and Michael Johnson got on the score-sheet for Village. Reece Pegdon replied for the visitors.

There is no disputing the stand-out scoreline in Division Four as Rossington United overwhelmed Campsall 19-2. Karl Lang (4), Mark Lidley (3), Dean Griffith (3), Peter Shelley (3) and Nathan Fraser (2) were among the players who got in on the act.

Bessacarr eased to a 3-1 success at Hatfield Woodhouse thanks to goals from Ryan Bullock (2) and James Sharp. They are now four points, having played a game extra, behind first-placed Catholic, who were not in action.

The Glasshouse’s Aaron Haxell netted to clinch a 1-1 draw at Harvester and Balby Rovers stunned mid-table Hesley, recording a comprehensive 7-1 win. Mark Barkham bagged four, with Tony Jepson, Ross Carroll and Gavin Smith hitting the others.
