Green day for Jay as he hits trio in triumph

JAY Green netted a hat trick as Moorends Hornets and Stingers earned another vital win in the battle against the drop from the Premier Division.

Moorends triumphed 5-0 at Bessacarr with Ben Teale and John Harrison also on target.

Danum also edged further away from the foot of the table with a 2-1 win over Edlington White Stars Blue.

Goals from Joseph Howe and Jordan Wilson gave Danum the edge in the tight clash while Daniel Boulton grabbed the White Stars’ consolation.

Tickhill took advantage of Edlington’s slip to move third in the table with a 3-1 win over Sprotbrough and Cusworth Crusaders.

Harry Ennis, Harry Hickey and Luke Evans found the net for Tickhill with Crusader Callum Marsh reducing the advantage.

Carcroft Village and Hall Cross Boys shared the spoils in an incredible 12 goal thriller in Division One.

Tom Smith scored four with Tyler Woods and Brad Davey also netting for Carcroft.

And while six would have been enough to give most sides victory, a Conner Shakespeare hat trick plus efforts from Jack Pearson, Harry Allen and Taylor Foster ensured a draw for Hall Cross.

Wheatley Wanderers edged to a vital victory in their quest for the title as they triumphed 2-1 over second placed Mexborough Rovers to go 12 points clear.

Joseph Mallinson-Hayes scored both Wheatley goals with an own goal getting Mexborough off the mark.

Adwick Park Rangers picked up their sixth point of the season with a 1-1 draw against Hyde Park Knights.

Miguel Gregorio scored for Adwick with Luke Hutchinson hitting back for the Knights.

Levi Murphy scored a hat trick as Edlington White Stars Red edged further clear of the drop zone with a 5-2 triumph at Bawtry.

Reece Needham and Dylan Carroll also found the target for Edlington while Robert Crawley and Samuel Haslam narrowed the gap for Bawtry.

Mexborough Rangers stayed five points clear at the top of Division Two with a 6-1 win at Clifton.

Jake Carter netted a hat trick with Logan Hays, Thomas Boddy and Matt Rhodes also finding the net.

Kaleem Duke grabbed the Clifton consolation.

South Kirkby Knights maintained their second place position with a 3-0 win at Town Moor Tigers courtesy of goals from Kyle Rose, Caine Allen and Todd Bethall.

Finningley Harriers swooped to a 3-1 win at Edenthorpe Yellow.

Owen McGuinness, Thomas Cerenko and Charlie Fox were all on target for the Harriers while Harry Kennedy hit back for Edenthorpe.

Sam Fry bagged a brace as Warmsworth Lions earned a 3-1 win at Sprotbrough and Cusworth Crusaders Red.

Markus Donkin scored the Lions’ other strike with Jack Roberts replying for the Crusaders.
