Frickley’s hopes of avoiding relegation took a hit at the weekend, as two late goals saw them lose 2-1 at Grantham Town.
Luke Hinsley looked to have given the Blues all three points, when he put them ahead after 83 minutes.
But four minutes later, the home side were back on level terms when Paul Lister knocked the ball home from almost on the line.
And in the last minute of regular time, the turnaround was complete when Michael Towey headed in a free-kick to give Grantham all three points.
Frickley, who returned to a 4-4-2 formation with Fernando Moke partnering Luke Hinsley up front, should have been in front as early as the third minute.
Moke sent over an inviting cross from the left for an unmarked Hinsley, who could only head straight at Grantham goalkeeper Dan Haystead.
A minute later Moke shot straight at Haystead from the edge of the box, as the Blues started positively.
Joe Wilcox put an overhead kick over the bar from six yards following a Blues’ corner on 26 minutes and then Luke Sharry hit a low shot from 25 yards which flew just wide of the left hand post. Just before half time the Blues had a let-off as Jordan Hempenstall played Paul Grimes clear inside the box but he clipped his angled shot wide of the far post.
On the stroke of half time Jack Wakefield was forced off through injury and he was replaced by Leon Osborne during the break.
Osborne was involved straight away, combining with Hinsley in the 46th minute as he burst into the box but his shot was deflected wide for a corner.
Sam Denton was forced to clear a shot off the Frickley goalline, and he was in action at the other end of the field moments later when Haystead was forced to push his shot around the post.
The Blues took the lead with seven minutes left, when Hinsley latched on to Osborne’s throughball and planted past Haystead.
But instead of seeing the game out, Frickley pressed the self-destruct button and conceded twice to come away with nothing.
