The Blues fought back to claim a point at Workington thanks to a late Danny South strike.
That goal helped Athletic seal their second away point of the season after falling behind to a second half goal from Scott Allison.
The lead lasted little more than 10 minutes before South’s leveller to earn a credible point for Frickley ahead of Ramsbottom Town’s visit this weekend.
The point follows Frickley’s first league win over FC United of Manchester in 13 attempts following their 4-1 home win last Tuesday.
FC took the lead in the 36th minute but three minutes before the break, the Blues were level when Gavin Allott thrashed home a 20 yard shot which took a slight deflection into the top corner.
On 65 minutes, Allott raced clear of a flat back four to keep his composure and fire beyond the United goalkeeper.
Five minutes later, Luke Hornsey burst through from his own half and into the United area before pulling the ball back to Sanchez Payne who side footed home from 10 yards.
Allott then collected his seventh hat trick in a Blues shirt after showing great strength to hold off Dean Short and poke the ball into the net in injury time.
