A disappointing match for Rotherham saw their undefeated home record disappear as a dominant Leicester City Women won 7-2.
It just took six minutes for Leicester to break through Rotherham’s defence and force Whiteley into a fingertip save that provided the game’s first corner.
Whiteley was then forced into action again just minutes later, this time collecting the ball from the feet of a Leicester player following a one-on-one situation.
Saxon had a long range effort for Rotherham before Leicester broke at the other end and hit the post.
The visitors eventually broke deadlock just before the half hour mark when Wilson’s back pass was cut out by Farrow to make the score 1-0.
Ten minutes of a midfield battle ensued before the game entered a stunning last five minutes to the half.
On the 40th minute Lowder made the score 2-0. And just two minutes later Farrow got her second chipping Whiteley for 3-0.
Rotherham were given a lifeline just a minute after that, when Rotherham captain, Rutherford sent a free-kick into the box that was deflected into the goal by a Leicester defender.
In injury time Rotherham had a glorious opportunity for a second, when Wilson’s free kick landed to Pollock unmarked in the box, only for shot to be placed straight at the Leicester keeper.
Half time saw a change in formation for Rotherham from 4-4-1-1 to 3-4-2.
Leicester gave Rotherham no time to adapt to the system as Farrow completed her hat trick just three minutes into the second half to make the score 4-1.
Leicester went on to dominate the early stages of the second half, which prompted another good save from Whiteley.
Lowder completed her hat trick for Leicester with two goals in quick succession around the 20 minute mark.
Rotherham pulled a goal back with 20 minutes to go when a superb Pollock free-kick flew into the top corner.
A flurry of attacking play for Rotherham saw them have further chances as the game closed out.
The best two of these chances saw Shaw cross the ball into Saxon whose shot was saved and Rutherford headed a Brooks corner straight at the keeper.
It was Leicester however who completed the scoring from substitute Worts.
