Double trouble for rivals as Rovers move 10 clear

AFC SPORTSMAN Rovers continued their juggernaut march towards the Premier Division title with a 3-1 win over Yorkshire Main taking their lead into double figures.

Paul Hemmingway scored twice with Andrew Wood adding the other to see the Mexborough side move 10 points clear at the top of the table, still with four games in hand over second placed Retford Town.

Swinton Station Athletic shared six goals in the first 30 minutes with hosts Bawtry Town to battle out a 3-3 draw.

Alex Burton bagged a brace with Ben Pemberton also on target.

South Elmsall United Services also earned a draw with Ryan Till netting in the 1-1 stalemate with Kinsley Boys for whom James Green was on target.

South Kirkby Colliery A came from behind to advance past Ackworth United in the Sheffield Trophy Centre FA Challenge Cup with a 3-1 win.

Goals from Jimmy Faulkner, Adam Bailey and Adrian Howe set up a quarterfinal clash with Edlington Town for Colliery.

South Kirkby Colliery B lost 10-3 to Division One leaders Bramley Sunnyside.

Mark Lukassewicz and Carl Siviter netted to hand Travellers FC a 2-0 win over Hemsworth MW.

John Probert’s strike earned a 1-1 draw for Hemsworth Town against ISG Doncaster.
