Liberty Stadium, February 19, 3pm

BRENDAN Rodgers could so easily have gone back to life as one of the highest rated young coaches after being cruelly dumped by Reading following a six month managerial stint last season.

And while they have scored fewer than their promotion rivals this time around, the improvement seems enough to suggest lightning won’t strike twice.

The retention of Scott Sinclair – who looks set to go down as one of the buys of the season in January – will certainly help in the goals department.

MANAGER

BRENDAN Rodgers could so easily have gone back to life as one of the highest rated young coaches after being cruelly dumped by Reading following a six month managerial stint last season.

But the 38-year-old’s brilliant work with Swansea this season has ensured the egg is certainly on the faces of the Royals, where he was previously academy boss.

Rodgers was plucked from Reading by Jose Mourinho who put him in charge of Chelsea’s youth.

He then moved to Watford who he guided to Championship safety in 2009.
