Doncaster Rovers vs Crystal Palace

Keepmoat Stadium, April 22, 3pm

COULD lightning strike twice for Crystal Palace? Last season their Championship fate was decided in the last day straight shoot-out with Sheffield Wednesday.

And with just a three–point cushion over the drop zone with four games to go, their destiny could yet be decided on the last day again.

Palace have stayed out of the bottom three since January, a fine achievement given their tight purse strings, but just one win in six has raised grave concerns.

COULD Crystal Palace have picked anyone better to guide them through another dog fight?

No other player has been as closely associated with Palace over the last decade than Dougie Freedman, the striker who helped fire them into the top flight twice.

The 36-year-old started coaching at Selhurst Park in 2008, returning to the club in 2010 from Southend to assist Paul Hart.

He stepped into the caretaker role when George Burley was sacked in January and was given the permanent role after just two weeks in charge.
