Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances at Ewood Park. Let us know what you think on Twitter @FreePressRovers.
1. Ellery Balcombe 7
Handed an immediate debut for Rovers and did not have a great deal to do despite Blackburn’s dominance of the ball in the first half. The highlight though was a stunning double save from Elliott and Dack to keep Rovers in front. Looks very comfortable with the ball at his feet, though a few of his clearances were closed down. 2. Joe Wright 8
Back in the side at right back and he coped really well with the challenge of the physically imposing Ben Brereton, either on the ground or in the air. He got forward well too when given the opportunity. Photo: Bruce Rollinson
3. Tom Anderson 9
A typical powerhouse performance from the stand-in skipper. While Blackburn dominated the ball for much of the opening half, he helped to ensure they struggled to convert pressure into real chances. Made a vital block inside the last ten minutes. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
4. Andy Butler 8
Another very assured for the veteran centre half. He mopped up plenty and showed good composure on the ball to play out from the back. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD
