Rob Jones has already picked up one prize this week but his eyes are firmly locked on the prize of promotion this weekend.
The towering centre half was named Rovers’ player of the year at The Star and Green ’Un Football Awards on Monday.
Though delighted to be honoured, Jones is fully focussed on Saturday’s winner-takes-all trip to Brentford.
Jones praised the rest of the Rovers squad who were named team of the year at our awards ceremony.
He said: “I’m really pleased and proud to win this (player of the year) award but I know I wouldn’t have achieved it without a fantastic group of players around me.
“What we’ve achieved this season has been down to a collective effort, not individual contributions.
“We’ve all pulled in the same direction and kept our feet on the ground.
“The pressure is on this weekend but we’ll not change our approach.
“We’re confident in our ability, we know it’s in our hands and we all believe we will get the job done on Saturday.”
Rovers have confirmed a limited number of tickets for Sunday’s end of season dinner at the Dome will be available to supporters on the door.
