Notts County have been knocked back in their attempt to sign Kyle Bennett on loan.
The Magpies made an enquiry about the 23-year-old winger’s availability earlier this month - only to be rebuffed.
Bennett is unlikely to be allowed to leave Rovers over the next few weeks, following Harry Forrester’s latest injury setback.
“No one will be going out at the minute,” said boss Paul Dickov.
“There was an enquiry a few weeks ago for Kyle from Notts County. We spoke to Kyle about it.
“I’ve got to give Kyle a lot of credit because he’s really knuckled down, worked hard and showed us that he wants to stay at this club. That’s the reason why he’s been back in the squad and on the bench.
“The group that we’ve got here has an attitude that is top class,” he added.
“I cannot speak highly enough for those who aren’t in the team or have been left out.
“The attitude they show in training and the backing they give to the players who are, that’s the spirit we want in this camp.”
Bennett has made just one substitute appearance this season, in the opening day defeat to Blackpool.
Billy Paynter also recently rejected the opportunity to join another League One club on loan, preferring to remain at Rovers and fight for his place.
