Highly-promising Rovers full back Mitchell Lund has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The Academy graduate impressed in starting the final four games of the season, doing more than enough to earn an extended stay at the Keepmoat with a series of assured performances.
Lund is currently the only recognised senior right back on Rovers’ books as they prepare to return for pre-season training on Monday.
The 18-year-old signed his first professional contract last summer.
Lund’s fellow Academy graduates Harry Middleton and Billy Whitehouse are also expected to sign new two-year contracts.
Defender Liam Wakefield is understood to have been offered a six-month extension with Rovers looking to monitor his return to fitness following a serious ankle injury while Ben Askins has been offered a similar deal.
