Paul Dickov is hoping it will be all right on the night for his Rovers players when they welcome Bolton onto the Keepmoat stage this evening.
Tuesday night performances have been particularly pleasing for strict critic Dickov this season.
And he is confident another strong showing in their final under the lights performance of the season will see Rovers get back to winning ways.
“Tuesday night performances have been really good, so we look at that as another positive,” Dickov said.
Though they have won only three of their nine Tuesday night fixtures, it is difficult to argue with Dickov’s review of midweek performances.
Though both ended in defeat, Rovers put in two strong showings against Burnley and were certainly unlucky to return from Watford with a controversial defeat.
Dickov feels his side will need little geeing up to get back to winning ways after falling to an error-strewn 3-1 defeat to Birmingham on Saturday which increased relegation concerns slightly once again.
And he will be quick to remind them of the recent run of four wins in six matches.
He said: “Saturday’s result isn’t something that’s going to knock us back too far.
“The players have been fantastic recently and we have to remind them that.
“We looked at the mistakes and hope they don’t happen again but we go in to the game with a lot of positivity.
“We go again. We’ve been playing well recently.
“If we hadn’t created any chances on Saturday then we would have been a bit more worried but Chris Burke pulled off fantastic saves from Chris Brown, Theo Robinson, Lucas Neill and Billy Sharp.
“They were four big chances and we can take it as a positive.”
