Chris Brown and Kyle Bennett have both put pen to paper on new two year deals.
The pair have become the first of the out of contract nine to sign new contracts after a protracted negotiation period.
“It’s been a long process since the end of last season with the change of manager and various other things,” 22-year-old winger Bennett said. “But I’m delighted Paul Dickov offered me a new deal.
“Hopefully this season we can stay in the Championship and I think we will.
“With a few more players added to the squad I think the next two years will be good ones.”
Striker Brown was pleased to have sorted a new deal with his home town club. “I’m delighted to have signed a new deal and I just can’t wait for the season to start,” the 28-year-old said.
“This is a great club, there’s a great set of lads here and I’m looking forward to working with the manager and players that are here. It’s going to be a really tough season with the amount of top teams that are in the Championship. As a player those are the games you look forward to.”
Brown is enjoying a productive pre-season so far having scored five goals in the opening two friendlies.
