Rovers looked to have completed the last of their January transfer business with Kyle Bennett on his way to Bradford City.

The winger joined the League One side on loan for the rest of the season after training with them yesterday.

And Paul Dickov looks to have his squad set for the rest of the relegation run-in.

Dickov said earlier in the week that he did not expect any more players to leave Rovers during January.

“We’ve had no enquiries for any of our players,” Dickov told the Star. “A lot of the outgoings we wanted to get done fairly quickly before we got the players in which we managed to do.

“There are a few days left in the window so we will wait and see.”

Bennett’s departure further eases the wage budget strained by the return of Billy Sharp.

The 23-year-old signed a new two year contract last summer but has struggled to force his way into Dickov’s plans.

Today’s opponents Blackpool have had a busy week in the transfer window following the sacking of Paul Ince.

The Tangerines signed Blackburn Rovers striker David Goodwillie and Middlesbrough winger Andy Halliday on loan until the end of the season.

Blackpool are also expected to complete the signing of Sheffield United full back Tony McMahon with Ben Harris moving in the opposite direction.
