Doncaster Rovers vs Millwall

The New Den, February 5, 3pm

OF the three teams promoted from League One last season, Millwall were the ones tipped to be heading back down.

But no one could have predicted the strong spirit and brilliant home form would be carried over.

Prior to Tuesday night, the Lions were only three points shy of joining their fellow promoted sides in the top six.

Should the Den remain somewhat of a fortress, Millwall could easily be this season’s Blackpool/Burnley/Hull.

MANAGER

MILLWALL may have found the man to end their 21 year spell outside the top flight.

Former Watford midfielder Kenny Jackett has improved the Lions year on year since he assumed control in 2007 and is now threatening a remarkable play off push.

Jackett won promotion as assistant to Graham Taylor and Ian Holloway at Watford and QPR respectively, continuing the success when he broke out on his own, taking Swansea out of the bottom tier in 2005.

A failure to take the Swans further lead to his sacking in 2007 but promotion with Millwall last season showed his qualities.
