Jess Sigsworth insists that as long as the Belles play like they did in the win against Manchester City, they should cause top flight Everton problems this weekend.
The Doncaster outfit, who are playing in the second tier of women’s football this season following their controversial FA relegation, are preparing to line-up against Merseysiders Everton for a Continental Cup clash.
And striker Sigsworth, who is this week celebrating an England U20s World Cup call-up, says that they should have nothing to fear - particularly after beating top tier side City 2-1 in the same cup in May.
“We’re really up for the game against Everton, I don’t think we have anything to be afraid of,” said the 19-year-old from Auckley.
“If we can do the things we did against Manchester City when we won, then I think we are in with a good chance.
“We’re looking forward to the challenge, we might have dropped points in the league last weekend but we want to bounce back and we want to do well in the cup.”
Belles v Everton, Sunday, Select Security Stadium, 2pm.
