Belles’ under-15s completed their double-winning season without defeat thanks to a final day 7-0 victory over Wombwell, writes Nigel Watson.

Doncaster finished undefeated with 18 league successes and four cup wins to complete their incredible league and cup double season.

Five goals in the first half against Wombwell set Doncaster off on their way to a final day’s three points following a month’s break without a game.

In a good first half, the Belles netted at regular intervals with the Wombwell ‘keeper pulling off a selection of smart saves to keep the score down.

The seond half had an end-of-season feel to it as the Belles scored two late goals to cap off a stunning season for the youngsters - which was also their 12th clean sheet of campaign.

Goals came from Jess Hassall (4), Libby Watson, Toyah Perry and Kirtsty Nelthorpe.

Naomi Oldridge won the ‘Lass of the Grass’ gong.
