Don’t look back in anger, Thorsten Stuckmann has told his teammates.
Seven league games in, Rovers have won just once and lost manager Paul Dickov.
But Stuckmann - arguably this season’s stand-out performer thus far - says Doncaster’s players simply cannot afford to dwell on the past.
“I don’t know why this season has gone the way it has,” said Stuckmann.
“Defending-wise we’ve been really good but we haven’t scored many goals and football is all about results.
“If we knew why, we wouldn’t be talking about it. But we have to just look forward now and leave everything else behind.
“In this business everything comes thick and fast so you have to switch on. We’ve got so many games coming up in the next few weeks. We can’t look back.
“As hard it sounds to not look back and maybe say ‘gaffer did something wrong there, there, there’, we just have to look forward and think positive, get a positive feeling into the dressing room and start winning football matches.”
