Rotherham United have sold international star Kari Arnason to Swedish club Malmo FF for an undisclosed fee.
The cultured 32-year-old, who can play in midfield or at centre-half, was a key man for the Millers last season in their successful Championship survival mission.
He played 130 times for the club after signing in June 2012, scoring five goals.
The Icelandic international was born in Sweden and spent the first few years of his life there while his parents were students in the country.
Last season he featured 45 times for the Millers, scoring goals against Blackburn Rovers, Millwall and Huddersfield Town.
Rotherham return to pre-season training tomorrow, with manager Steve Evans looking to add to his squad after the arrivals of former Sheffield Wednesday full-backs Joe Mattock and Lewis Buxton and former Leeds United midfielder Aidy White.
