Rotherham United have appointed former Scottish international footballer Eric Black as their new first-team coach.

Black, who played under Sir Alex Ferguson at Aberdeen, is an experienced coach and spent last season at Wigan Athletic.

Millers manager Steve Evans said: “His CV as a player and a coach is one of the highest quality. He is someone I have known and respected for almost 25 years.”

Black, who also played for Metz in France, is a former manager of Coventry City.
