Barnsley boss Danny Wilson is being linked with a loan swoop for Swansea City striker, Leroy Lita, in an attempt to bolster his side’s firepower.
The former Reading hitman had a spell on loan at Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday last season, and showed his ability with seven goals in 17 games.
Lita is out of favour with Swansea, and had a spell last season on loan at Brighton.
Wilson, whose side host Blackpool on Sunday, urgently needs to coax more goals out of his players. Only Yeovil and Doncaster Rovers, the two sides immediately above the Reds in the Championship table, have found the net fewer times than Wilson’s men this term.
One misfiring frontman Jason Scotland, who hasn’t found the net since September, looks set to depart Oakwell.
