Doncaster Knights guaranteed their place in the Championship play-offs with a bonus-point win at London Scottish.
After Jersey won at Nottingham on Friday night, Clive Griffiths’ men knew that a five-point win would secure a top four finish.
And they duly delivered the goods with a 26-20 victory with tries from Latu Makaafi, Will Hurell, Will-Griff John and Andy Bulumakau.
This is just Doncaster’s second season back in the Championship following their most recent flirtation with National One - and very few, if any, pundits tipped them last summer to feature in the race for promotion to the Premiership.
So to wrap up a play-off place with four games of the regular league season still remaining is a quite phenomenal achievement.
League leaders Bristol are also through, while Bedford and Yorkshire Carnegie currently occupy the final two play-off places.
