DYSON-SKIDMORE TROPHY
UPPER Haugh enjoyed a thrilling ten runs win over Wombwell Main in the first round of the Dyson-Skidmore Trophy on Sunday.
Darren Hough's unbeaten 64 and a 29 run haul from Glen Mitchell underpinned a fine Haugh knock of 199-7 which Main went straight for through Charlie Johnson's 72 and Lee Clayton's 52 but ran out of time and closed on 189-9.

Ricky Licence grabbed t
hree wickets and Rob Oxberry two to restrict Wombwell and see Haugh through.

Frickley Colliery cruised to a 125 runs victory when they entertained Sprotbrough as Stephen Secker hit 13 boundaries in his 90 total.

Kevin Pearson was also on fine striking form as he figured in an opening stand of 115 for Colliery with Hayre (47) and Richard Belk (21no) lifting them to 234-3.

After Richard Hepworth 2-16 had got rid of the visitors openers, Paul Kirkham 2-37 and Hayre snapped up 5-10, ripped through the order as Sprotbrough were all out for 109 in the final over.

Conisbrough gave a spirited performance before falling by 20 runs in their tie at Fishlake.

A century from Gary Strephan, together with 91 by Dave Johnson put the meat on the home knock of 238-6.

Some good totals from Oliver Jackson (36), Ben Jackson (44) and Steven Hughes (38) kept Conisbrough on course but they ended 20 shy on 218-6.

Alwyn Dyke made a superb unbeaten 132 for Hooton Pagnell as they gained a 75 runs victory at Crofton.

Along with Daniel Owen's 47, Alwyn sent the Hooton knock soaring to 238-4.

It proved beyond the reach of Crofton who, despite half centuries from A Bracewell and G Walton, were dismissed for 163.

Daniel Owen completed a fine all-round display by snaring 3-28.

Also through to the June 1 scheduled second round are Old Sharlston who beat Stainborough, Streethouse who saw off Monk Bretton and Ackworth who triumphed over Askern Welfare.
