Honours even after the first leg, Rovers and Southend do battle at the Keepmoat tomorrow night (Fri) to earn a shot at promotion to the Championship.
Neither side could break the deadlock at Roots Hall on Friday while the main talking point was the late sending off of Paul Heffernan for headbutting defender Charlie Mulgrew.

Heffernan - who boss Sean O'Driscoll rates as the best finisher at the club - is suspended for the crucial clash tomorrow and the nine-goal striker will be sorely missed as Rovers search for goals.

Only Leeds and champions Swansea have a better away record than Southend this season but Rovers will be buoyed by memories of the 3-1 home win over The Shrimpers in December.

They could not be more balanced heading into their do or die showdown.
