SOUTH Kirkby Social beat South Elmsall United Services by six wickets in the Carlsberg/Tetley Cricket KO Trophy Final at the Old Mill ground on Monday.
Winning the toss, United Services decided to bat, but lost openers James MacFarlane (2) and Gary Marley (18) before a third wicket partnership of 47 by Glen Marley (31no) and Liam Rollin (22) gave them some foundation although they were restricted to 93-5.

Claiming the wickets were Richard Hames 2-3, Steve Lambert 1-1, Jason Leafe 1-8 and Martin Helliwell 1-14.

Social were given a start by Andrew Stringfellow (11) and Martin Helliwell (14) with a fourth wicket stand of 40 from Richard Hames (17no) and Rob Dickinson (24) putting them in the driving seat, the former being joined by Steve Lambert (13no) to steer them to 98-4 in 18 overs.

Liam Rollin took 2-4, while James MacFarlane and Mark Pinder both had 1-9.
