FORWARD Scott Remmer top scored with 22 points as Barnsley Leaders achieved a clean sweep of four wins in the first South Yorkshire summer U14 tournament on Saturday in Sheffield.
Leaders toughest test came in the opening match against Sheffield Sharks.

Sharks opened the scoring but a Remmer two pointer and a free shot from Zac Danks put Barnsley 3-2 up. Leaders created many good openings before Reece Marshall was on targe
t to post a 5-3 lead. Jack Hallsworth settled the contest with two consecutive baskets to seal a 9-5 win for Barnsley.

The Leaders then went on to defeat the Saints by 15-6 with Remmer hitting nine and Tommy Price, Danny McLaughlin and Jack Hallsworth adding two each. This was followed by a 19-2 win over All Saints with Remmer notching nine more points, Jack Hallsworth four and Reece Marshall, Jake Wainwright and Tom Large two each.

The Leaders started slowly in their final match against the Wizards being held at 2-2 after three minutes. Four points each from Hallsworth and Marshall and two each from Danks and Mclaughlin pushed the Leaders in front to win by 16-4.

Team: Zac Danks (capt) 3, Scott Remmer 22, Jack Hallsworth 16, Reece Marshall 8, Daniel McLaughlin 4, Jake Wainwright 2, Tommy Price 2, Robert Quinton. Coach Bert Beaumont.
