A 35 yard drive from Lee Morris drifted off target in the seventh minute, and Chris White went close with a 20 yard shot two minutes later in a lively start from the Blues, Morris testing visiting keeper Sean Lake with a first time effort after 14 mi
nutes.
The home side had Chris White sent off in the 33rd minute for deliberately kicking Darren Brookfield, but continued to press, Morris beating two defenders in the 44th minute and striking a ball which Lake could only parry but Adam Farley cleared off the line.
Rob Pell had a shot blocked in the 57th minute and Morris's effort from the rebound was punched to safety by Lake, with Anthony Jackson heading just over after a deep free-kick from Chris Gowen two minutes later.
Frickley keeper Adam Nicklin held a 25 yard drive by Freddie Potter after 69 minutes and then saved well from Lee Parle.
In the 76th minute, Morris played a pass to Danny Walsh and ran inside the penalty box to take the return but was hacked down by Parle, who received a red card.
From the spot kick, Morris saw his effort blocked by Lake's body, and the keeper denied him again in the 85th minute, punching away an angled shot from the left.
Frickley entertain Hednesford Town in the Unibond Premier this Saturday, kick-off 3pm, and visit North Ferriby United next Tuesday, kick-off 7.45pm.
