A number of cars were damaged in an overnight wrecking spree in Sheffield.

Police received multiple reports of motors being damaged in the Manor Lane area between 8pm on Monday, December 28, and 8am on Tuesday, December 29.

A force spokeswoman said: “It is believed that overnight, a number of vehicles had their paintwork scratched and damaged by persons unknown.

“At this time, it is not clear whether one person or more is involved and officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area that evening and overnight.
