World Thinking Day is actually on February 22 every year and is for all in the Guides and Scouts movements worldwide.

A spokesman explained: “This date was the birthday of both Lord and Lady Baden Powell who of course started the Guides movement in 1910.

“The idea is to have one day a year when we promote the idea of being a worldwide movement, joining with other groups locally, sometimes nationally.

“It is often used to re-affirm the promises the children take as part of their membership.”
