Witness appeal after motorcyclist seriously injured

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision in Doncaster.

The crash happened at about 7.50pm on Tuesday (15 October) in Church Road, Stainforth, where a blue Suzuki motorbike was in collision with a grey Daihatsu car.

The rider of the motorbike, a 41-year-old man from Doncaster, was travelling in the direction of Dunscroft and sustained serious injuries in the incident. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old man from Scunthorpe, was travelling in the opposite direction and was not injured.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision. Anyone with information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 1054 of 15 October.
