Which estate agent should you choose?

There seems to be a hot topic being asked regarding the housing market around Sheffield, “which estate agent should I call, there are so many nowadays?”

The choice of estate agents covering the area has dramatically increased over the last ten years, with not all agents and fee packages being the same.

From an onlookers perspective what are the differences?

What makes one company and product better than another and is it a justifiable cost?

Is a house just a product or does service come into the equation?

A lot of questions and scenarios to take on board, after all, selling or letting your house is one of the biggest financial transactions in your life, so surely it is wise to choose very carefully.

Does cheap always leave you cheerful?

Whilst ‘budget‘ in estate agency may seem enticing from the onset, I certainly feel there are some big differences in the levels of the service provided which may save you sizeable amounts of money in the end.

We don’t ask for fees up front, we work on a percentage of what we have achieved on the sale figure.

This provides all concerned a great incentive to aim to get the best possible price.

This follows on from a comprehensive marketing process, not by just listing your property on the portals/websites and wanting you to accept the first offer that comes forward.

In my opinion the best possible price can largely be achieved by having the expert knowledge, experience and the right negotiation skills of the market place that we work in order to carry this out.

Before you choose an agent, then here are some questions you may want to think about...

What local knowledge do they have?

How/where is my property marketed?

What incentive/motivation do the agent have to sell/rent my house?

How extensive is the service?

Do they have the know how to deal with what can sometimes see stress levels go through the roof!?

There is no greater feeling than a client acknowledging we have gone the extra mile, feeling we have worked hard to earn our fee and would recommend our services to others.

We are an independent, family run firm, with 16 years of successful trading in property sales and lettings.

We take a great deal of pride and share a genuine and honest interest in delivering the best results which we feel is worth every penny and would love the chance to demonstrate this.
