MEXBOROUGH mum Susan Jackson battled her way around a broken city, in the aftermath of the New Zealand earthquake – desperately searching for her sons.
Susan risked crumbling roads and dodged flying debris and fallen power lines in the hunt for her young sons – in the wake of the 6.3 magnitude quake that claimed more than 150 lives in Christchurch.
Meanwhile, her own mum and dad faced an agonising DAY of waiting... before finally hearing that Susan, her partner Matthew Hoole and her sons were safe.
Cyril and Diane Jackson spoke exclusively to the Times of the “longest 12 hours of our lives” – waiting for news, back at their home in Cadeby.
