The first Sheffield Design Week will bring a bumper programme of creative events to the city starting on Monday.
Organised by Sheffield’s MADE NORTH project and gallery, the festival will celebrate the fantastic design, craft and manufacture that exists in the city.
Throughout the week, there will be a variety of exhibitions, talks, pop-up galleries, workshops and seminars for art lovers to experience at venues across the city centre and beyond.
Festival director Patrick Murphy, of MADE NORTH, said: “Sheffield is a creative city that has a role to play in the UK and international design scene.
“We’ve been delighted with the response for this first festival locally, nationally and internationally.”
A bright orange information hub will appear outside Sheffield Train Station and remain for the full week sharing printed guides to the event. It will also showcase work by emerging and established Sheffield design talent, including student and graduate work from Sheffield Hallam University.
