VIDEO: St Leger Festival gets underway

St Leger Festival fever has officially galloped into Doncaster with the launch of the annual extravaganza that will see the town play host to over 200 events.

The festival, expected to boost Doncaster’s economy by a whopping £45 million, kicked off yesterday.

In addition to the usual jam-packed calendar of racing which culminates with the 239th running of the world’s oldest classic – the St Leger, a host of events are taking place across the town including a music festival, exhibitions and the British Jet Ski championships.
