Waiting for Video...

Teacher and author Phil Sheppard can live happily ever - after reading to royalty!

Hexthorpe Primary School teacher Phil treated Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, to storytime in a contest to find the country’s supreme storytellers.

Phil, who has written children’s books featuring his Lollipopman character, described his trip to London for the World Book Day competition as “a whirlwind.”

Picked out by Horrid Henry creator Francesca Simon for the Storytelling Superstar event, he said: “One of the best parts of the school day is when we gather to tell stories.”
