Legendary locomotive Mallard has steamed back into Doncaster - to mark 75 years since her record breaking world speed run.

The iconic A4 Pacific loco, designed and built in the town by Sir Nigel Gresley will be in Doncaster until Sunday to tie in with this year’s St Leger - and it could be the very last time she returns to the Plant Works at Hexthorpe where she was constructed in 1938.

On loan from the National Railway Museum in York, she will be on display to members of the public at Freightliner Ltd on Saturday and Sunday - with free entry.
