A BOOK has been launched to mark the 100th anniversary of Rossington Pit opening.

Rossington History Group has put together the anthology of photos and stories called Rossington 1912 to 2012 with the help of author and parish councillor John Adam.

The book is available for £4 from the group, or by calling secretary Roy Venables on 01302 340403.

The group meets every Wednesday from 10am to midday at the Parish Memorial Hall in McConnell Crescent and new members are welcome.
