Two vehicle crash in Barnsley

Emergency services were called out after two cars collided in Barnsley this morning.

The incident happened on Upper New Street in the town centre at about 7am.

Police, ambulance and fire crews attended the scene and had to cordon off part of the road while they dealt with the incident.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said none of the occupants were trapped and there were no major injuries sustained.
