Tributes have been paid to a Thorne man who died in a collision in Hull.
Peter Finch, 46, originally from Thorne, died following the incident on Derringham Bank roundabout on Easter Sunday.
Marie Tomlinson, 33, the girlfriend of Peter for seven years, paid tribute to the man she loved and said this loss has left a big hole in a lot of peoples hearts.
She said: “He was a loving man who had a love of life.”
Miss Tomlinson and Peter met after they were both waiting for a train at Doncaster train station.
She added: “I know that a lot of people may have seen what happened on that day and people did stop to help him, and I really want to thank those people for doing all they could to help Peter. I would also like to ask people, if you did stop at the scene and have not yet spoken to police then please come forward and tell them what you know. Myself and the family and friends of Peter want closure on this and by helping the police you will be helping us.”
Police would encourage anyone who may have seen something, been at the scene of the incident and/or just have information which can help with the on going investigation to call 101 reference log 430 of 31 March 2013.
