An inquest into the deaths of two 'lovely' Doncaster teens, who died following a one-vehicle collision has been opened this afternoon.

Senior coroner, Nicola Mundy, opened the inquest into the deaths of 18-year-old Thomas James Isle and Ashley Lewis Isle, 13, at Doncaster coroners' court today (Thursday, November 12).

The two brothers, of Armthorpe, were travelling in a red Seat Ibiza when it crashed on the A18 High Street, close to Wyndthorpe Hall near Dunsville at around 6.40pm on Saturday evening.

Thomas, who was driving the car, died at the scene, and Ashley died on Monday night in Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Ms Mundy confirmed an investigation is currently underway at her request, and adjourned the inquest for a date yet to be fixed.

Hundreds of tributes have seen been posted on social media and left at the crash site.

Sarah Jepson said: “RIP boys. Thoughts are with their family at this very sad time. My daughter is 18 and she sometimes drives her little brother around, can’t begin to imagine the pain.”

Christina Barber-Callender said: “So desperately sad. Two lovely lads. RIP Tom and Ash. Sincere condolences to their dad and family.”
