This is the moment a HGV ended up wedged in a hole in a road after the surface gave way when a water main burst.

The flat-bed lorry was travelling along the B6094 Cockhill Lane, near Braithwell, when the road gave way yesterday morning.

It was carrying a full load at the time, with some pallets slipping off and falling into the hole.

The road was closed until the lorry was pulled free.
