it was perfect timing! Little Joe Pearson recovered from a severe chest infection just in time to enjoy his newly delivered sensory toys.

Mum Gemma is delighted too, not least at seeing the big beaming smile on three-year old Joe’s face, after eight nights of coughing and crying.

An appeal launched by Michael and Paul Atwal-Brice of Little Hopefuls at Thurnscoe, and supported by us, raised £2,500 to buy the tot who has cerebral palsy a bean bag and a bubble wall to be erected in his bedroom. And to top off the upturn in the Bolton family’s fortunes, a stair lift they longed for has now been approved by Barnsley Council, after their need was highlighted by the Times. “I can’t thank everyone enough,” said Gemma. “The bean bag lights relax Joe, he loves them. Finally I feel it’s all coming together.” Michael Atwal-Brice said: “We’re really pleased.”
