ONE of Britain’s best loved actor, writer, comedian and occasional television presenters, Lenny Henry, is to perform a very special intimate show at The Plowright Theatre later this year.
The face of Comic Relief for many years will perform at the venue on Wednesday, November 28. The award-winning television personality first appeared on TV in 1975 and has been a regular on our screens ever since. The Lenny Henry Show ran for almost 20 years and he has also appeared in a number of blockbuster films as well as well known TV adverts. Lenny is also a regular on the comedy circuit and earlier this year toured Australia. His charity efforts for Red Nose Day and Comic Relief have made him one of the nation’s best loved personalties.
Lenny will be performing his ‘Pop Life!’ show which looks at his life through music. Pop Life! Is a joyous, funny, freaky show about just how music goes better with everything. Lenny plays the piano during this performance – you have been warned!
Tickets for Lenny Henry’s appearance at The Plowright Theatre will go on sale at 10.30am today (Wednesday August 15). They will be available from The Box Office, telephone 0844 8542776 or visit www.scunthorpetheatres.co.uk
